The Atlantic: Unrivaled Craftsmanship in a Historic Beaux Arts Building

Soaring 22 stories over the intersection of Center City’s cultural and residential districts, The Atlantic offers unrivaled craftsmanship and sophistication in a historic Beaux Arts building. Completely reimagined from the inside out by starchitect Rafael Vinoly, The Atlantic heralds the arrival of Billionaire’s Row residences and lifestyle amenities to Philadelphia.

BEFORE

Grown up spaces reflect the collective wisdom of the design team and epitomize  modern refinement – all thanks to Mega Supply Pro’s material sourcing capabilities. Sustainably engineered to delight all of the senses with an unparalleled attention to detail in the indoor living environment, The Atlantic defines elegance in city living.

Rafael Viñoly designed The Atlantic’s floor plans with a great emphasis on indoor environmental quality. The building integrates a comprehensive approach to engineering the air, light, and sounds inside of each apartment to maximize wellness.

The Atlantic features gracious large floorplans, with elegant two finish palette options - classic theme with lighter colors and a modern theme with cooler tones. Magnificent ceiling heights span from 9' to 14'. Sourced and delivered by Mega Supply Pro, the furniture-grade, wide-plank white oak floors were have a beautifully soft and touchable oil-rubbed matte finish.

The bathrooms are designed as “finished rooms,” not afterthoughts, with two distinct interior palettes that carry through the stone, vanity, hardware, and plumbing fixture selections. Residents can choose a classic look that leans warmer and lighter, or a modern option with cooler tones. The difference is most visible in the fixture and wall-tile colors: beige marble with brass fixtures in the classical units, and light gray marble with black fixtures in the modern units.

Across the building, the material story is consistent and upscale: oversized, floor-to-ceiling travertine-look porcelain stone wraps the bathrooms for a clean, monolithic feel, paired with floating vanity cabinets (deep drawers, concealed storage, and integrated towel shelving).

Countertops are specified as seamless Corian with sleek integrated sinks, and the mirrored medicine and makeup cabinets are oversized and built out with integrated, forward-facing lighting, which keeps the space bright and functional without breaking the lines of the design.

At The Atlantic, the kitchens are designed for entertaining, with two finish palettes (classic lighter tones or a cooler modern look) that change the cabinetry and details from unit to unit.

Integrated Bertazzoni appliance packages are built into an ergonomic layout with smart storage like pull-out pantry shelving and dedicated trash cabinets, plus black-glass touch-control induction cooktops and built-in ovens (double ovens in many 2- and 3-bedroom homes).

Mega Supply Pro’s role in a project like this is making sure every one of those “small details” lands exactly as designed, at scale: coordinating complete bathroom packages by division, keeping finishes consistent across hundreds of units (and across two palettes), and protecting the schedule by managing procurement and delivery as a single accountable source.

AFTER

The Terrace Level presents expanses of warm travertine, nero marquina marble, and one hundred year old white terracotta set against a stunning unobstructed backdrop of the Philadelphia skyline on all sides, providing exquisite outdoor spaces complete with a waterfall-edge lounging pool and an oversized hot-tub, as well as an exclusive dining area.

Extra large closets were manufactured by Mega, and dressing rooms with custom millwork organizational fittings, integrated lighting, & built-in mirrors feel like you’re in a billionaire’s home, but were put together quickly and affordably. HVAC, window shades, and lighting are seamlessly integrated by an iPad mounted in each apartment.

The shower and bathing experience is equally “hotel-level.” The Atlantic calls out extra-large shower enclosures, many with integrated tile seats, and lighting that can be dimmed. A third-party tour of the property notes multifunction shower systems that include rain heads, body sprays, and hand wands, and glass shower walls that rise to the ceiling for a more enclosed, steam-like feel.

Many residences also include extra-deep soaking tubs, and The Atlantic specifically highlights sliding, barn-style glass doors on tub/shower combos for a high-quality shower experience that still works well for bathing.

Calacatta Gold marble quartz countertops with a full-height solid backsplash keep the workspace seamless and easy to maintain, and the sink package is paired with a high-arc pullout faucet (magnetic spray wand), an extra-deep double-bowl sink, a disposal air switch, and integrated ultra-quiet dishwashers with concealed LED interfaces.

Mega Supply Pro supplied these kitchen finishes and appliances for The Atlantic, coordinating the full package so the design intent stayed consistent across both palettes and every layout, while keeping procurement and deliveries tight to the construction schedule.
